Phonics

The DFE have commissioned a range of phonic videos that will be released daily to support the learning/revision of phonics at home. Please click here to access it.

Reading

For support with Reading at home with your child please click here. It is a link for teachers and parents and it has some great ideas about how you  can support at home.

Writing

The Literacy Trust has lots of story prompts to help you write your own stories: Literacy Trust Story Starters

Talk4Writing is a teaching framework we often follow in our literacy lessons at school. They have produced two sets of home learning units for each year group. These units are designed to be done with an adult: Talk4Writing Home Learning

Note: the first set of Talk4Writing resources is free and the second set can also be accessed for free, but they do ask for a donation to Great Ormond Street if you are able to.

Spelling

Spelling frame has a free game for every spelling list. Concentrate on the word lists for your year group, but you can also practise different spelling rules: Spelling Frame
